Life sciences
We have made special efforts in the life sciences. Activities and opportunities for researchers and biotechnology companies in the region have been combined into BioTech Umeå. BioTech Umeå also works with coordinating and marketing Umeå as a biotech city. Our subsidiary Umeå Biotech Incubator also offers laboratory facilities and coaching for business ideas in the life sciences.
