Silicon Valley has for many years been a role model for the development of startup companies. A delegation from northern Sweden recently went to the US to understand why.
“The purpose of the trip was to learn more about the innovation system in Silicon Valley, how startup companies can get support for growing and, in particular, establish contacts,” says Susanne W Lindström, International Project Manager at North Sweden Cleantech, organizer of the trip.
“We also wanted to understand how Silicon Valley works with the development of smart cities and how they work with renewable energy and climate-smart solutions,” she continues.
At an event, co-arranged with Nordic Innovation House in Palo Alto, generated good insight how to create contacts and visibility for startup companies, she stresses.
“The contacts we bring back provide a huge value for the continued spread of our competencies and innovation.”
