Pitch winning company Lipum combats chronic diseases

All companies at Biotech Umeå Investment Day have solutions that can make us healthier in one way or another. Among the nine life science companies aspiring for Connects pitch prize, the jury chose the winner based on four criteria; the idea, the entrepreneur, the growth potential and credibility. Winning gives Lipum a chance to meet more investors, the prize is a fee participation at Connect 2 Capital 2019.


Meetings with investors is also the focus of today's events, as 32 national and international investors meet, mingle and listen to life science, biotech and medtech companies from Västerbotten. Investors and companies are invited by the organizer Uminova Innovation, Biotech Umeå in cooperation with Umeå Biotech Incubator and Connect Norr. Region Västerbotten also supporting the event that is part of the recurring Västerbotten weeks at the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm.


The three finalists

Winner Lipum
develops unique drugs for patients suffering from chronic inflammatory diseases. They have a world-class drug candidate.
