UBI receives 15 million for supporting future drugs and diagnostic methods

Umeå Biotech Incubator has received 15 million over three years, from the Erling-Persson Family Foundation to, help and support in the transformation from life science idea into usable products or services.

The new grant to UBI will make it possible to offer support to a greater number of research ideas, and to speed up the process where the research is transformed from an idea to an actual product.

– We are very happy that Umeå Biotech Incubator receives this grant. It very important, not only for us and the scientists who have projects here, but also for the industry, the market and last but not least the people who will benefit by the products and services that the research generates, says Jennie Ekbeck, CEO at Umeå Biotech Incubator.
